Gridshell Structure
Kent Science Park
Norman Architects have prepared these visualisations to help illustrate, the initial design concept for a timber gridshell structure to be constructed on the Kent Science Park site.
The proposed building will house a state of the art greenhouse facility for Plantworks Ltd, a company committed to developing sustainable biological alternatives to chemical fertilizers. The scheme is the brainchild of Plantworks managing director, Robert Patten, and is currently being developed in collaboration with the management team at Kent Science Park and structural engineers Atelier One.
In the spirit of Sir Joseph Paxton the proposed design utilises a prefabricated set of components to create an inspiring, yet economical, greenhouse.
