Architect in the House
Architect in the House is a charitable joint initiative conceived by the Royal Institute of British Architects and Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity. By registering for Architect in the House homeowners may, in exchange for a small donation to Shelter, receive an hour consultation with an RIBA chartered architect such as Norman Architects' director Graham Norman - who is taking part for the ninth consecutive year.
Whether it's a Grand Design or simply inspiration for a study or extra bedroom that you need, a chartered architect can offer creativity and professional advice that will help bring your ideas to life, there is no project too large or small.
Research has shown that nearly two-thirds of homeowners have lived in the same home for at least ten years. With more of us staying put while our families grow home improvements can often be the best option in making sure our homes suit our changing needs.
We can help people to maximise the potential of their homes; whilst also giving assistance to those with more significant housing problems. I would encourage anyone who is thinking of undertaking work on their home to consider using an architect who has signed up for Architect in the House.
